Description: Pikes Peak or Bust Rodeo - mid-July, a professional rodeo featuring bareback, saddle bronc and bull riding as well as carnival rides and wild horse races.

Pikes Peak International Auto Hill Climb

Description: Pikes Peak International Auto Hill Climb - early July, first held in 1916, this Colorado Springs institution includes a week of pre-race events leading up to the big day.

Independence Day Fireworks

Description:

Independence Day - July 4th, celebrations held at Memorial Park. Hear the sounds of the symphony orchestra while the fireworks go off over the lake.

The Air Force Academy is another place to see fireworks.  Take Exit 156A from I-25.  Take the first left (traffic light) as you come off the ramp.  All along Struthers Road, on the left side are some open fields where you can park and watch the show.

iMPORTANT NOTE:

It is illegal for any person to possess or discharge any fireworks, other than sanctioned displays in the city of Colorado Springs. ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL, that includes Roman candles, cherry bombs, M-100's, M-80's, shells and mortars, helicopters, bottle rockets, and sparklers, to name a few. 

Territory Days Celebration

Description: Territory Days Celebration - late May, held in Old Colorado City and celebrating the city's past.

Labor Day Arts Festival

Description: Held on Labor Day weekend each year.

Holiday Moonlight Safari

Description: At the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.  In addition to December, other night safari's are offered.  Visit the website for specific dates and admission fees.

Snowflakes and Smiles Christmas Parade

Description: Snowflakes and Smiles Christmas Parade - The Annual Snowflakes and Smiles Christmas Parade through downtown Manitou Springs is a real olde fashioned tradition. It is lead by the El Paso County Mounted Color Guard and includes car and motorcyle clubs, equestrian groups, marching bands, dog clubs, local organizations, cheerleaders and of course the star of the parade, Santa Claus. Enjoy free cider and cookies with Santa at the Town Clock after the parade.

Micro Brew Expo

Description: Annual Micro Brew Expo - Downtown Pikes Peak between Cascade & Tejon. The Expo features brewers from all over Colorado. Music and tastings. Admission includes tasting mug!

Turkey Trot 5K/1K Kids Fun Run
