When we moved from Dallas to Colorado Springs, Sushi was first on our hit list. We were please to find a small Sushi restaurant near our home called Sushi Ai. There are a couple of restaurants carrying this name in town. We are still waiting to find out if they are related.
Sushi Ai isn't what you would call high on atmosphere; however, there Sushi is fresh (and cold), and they easily accommodate parties with tables up to 8. If you have children, this restaurant I would consider kid-friendly, although there isn't any dedicated kid's menu. Order off the hot menu or the sushi menu or ask for them to make something special for you. They have both a sushi bar as well as table service and serve beer and wine as well. While I have never ordered take-out, many people order take out and pick it up to take home.
There is a daily specials board; however, in the about 30+ times we have been, there has been little change on the items here. But I can tell you the service and food quality has remained very consistent. There is almost never a wait.
Their miso soup is some of the best I have had and normally I don't find much difference in soups from place to lace.
