Menu and food are very good, but the service is about the worst I have ever seen. Wait staff doesn't appear to know their menu, or how to serve sushi. For example, you might want soy sauce dishes with sushi.

We visited Bara on a Saturday night before its grand opening. Our service was mediocre, but the food was outstanding. We are hopeful that Bara is working out the kinks in service. The atmosphere had an urban, somewhat crowded feel. There is a kids' menu, but we would feel more comfortable leaving them home than bringing them to Bara. We started off with a Pot of Gold Return, which is tempura fried, cream cheese stuffed jalapenos topped with crab and spicy tuna--YUM! We then had their spicy miso soup, which was substantial, containing onions and mushrooms along with the usual ingredients, and it had quite a kick. The sushi and sashimi were good, reasonably-sized portions. We enjoyed a Spicy Babe Roll, with seared tuna, avocado, spicy salmon and a crunchy topping. Bara has had a successful Denver location for a couple of years. We hope they stick around in the Springs too!
