The mission at Daniels Chevyland is to “delight the customer” throughout their dealership experience. This mission began in 1929 when Cady L. Daniels, the great-grandfather of current owner Elizabeth Daniels, purchased the Chevrolet franchise in Colorado Springs.
Upon taking possession of the franchise in March of 1929 Cady decided to build a brand new facility. He acquired the former home of Winfield Scott Stratton on Weber Street, one of the oldest homes in Colorado Springs at the time, razed it and within a few months the new building was ready for business. The formal opening of Cady L. Daniels Inc., Chevrolet Sales and Service facility, was held on Friday, July 5, 1929. All of Colorado Springs was invited to inspect one of the finest garages in the west, while Chevrolet pronounced the new building as one of the finest facilities this side of the Mississippi. Cady ran the dealership until 1957 when his son Al purchased the Chevrolet franchise. Under the leadership of the Daniels family, the dealership endured the Depression, World War II constraints, the 1970’s gas crisis, and many other challenges over the years.
